Art direction, print design and digital assets for Lee Gardens during Hong Kong’s legendary sporting event, the Rugby Sevens.
Hong Kong Rugby Sevens is an internationally-renowned sporting event taking place in the stadium at Causeway Bay. The event attracts local and overseas visitors alike, and Lee Gardens Shopping Mall is located in the vicinity. Lee Gardens commissioned Dash to create the art direction, digital design and print design for a campaign to attract visitors to the mall for its Sevens Festival.

Challenge.
To attract visitors to the mall in the run-up to, and during, the Hong Kong Sevens event, Lee Gardens shopping mall wanted to create a visual that tied in with the Rugby Sevens but was still unique to set it apart from other campaigns. The visual needed to be eye-catching, flexible enough to use across multiple communications platforms and clearly connect Lee Gardens with the sports event.
Design &Creative Development.
Rather than simply using realistic photography of the players or a rugby game, DASH united photography and illustration to create a stronger visual impact. The visual conveys the high-energy and excitement of the Rugby Sevens while using promotional elements to showcase what is on offer at the mall. While the key visual clearly connects the mall to the sporting event, it also hints to other goings-on taking place for everyone to enjoy.
