Creating a distinct visual brand identity for Popway Hotel that would also align it with its new parent company.
Popway Hotel is a boutique hotel located in TST, Hong Kong. Last year, the hotel became part of Popsible Hospitality Management Group. Having already undertaken a rebranding project for Popsible, the Group commissioned DASH to do the same for its newly acquired Popway Hotel, creating a unique brand identity while ensuring consistency across the group.

Challenge.
The majority of guests at Popway Hotel are business representatives, small families and younger visitors on shorter stays. Popway Hotel’s branding needed to be memorable and pleasant so guests would remember it long after their short stays were over, while maintaining consistency so it would feel part of the wider group branding.
Creative Design &Direction.
When undertaking the rebranding project for the Possible Group, DASH took creative inspiration from the brand name, “Pop”, creating a visual system and art direction that was inspired by pop art. DASH maintained this theme for Popway Hotel, drawing on a new interpretation of pop art inspired by the city of Hong Kong in the brand identity.
Neon lights are a staple of Hong kong’s nightscape and something strongly associated with the city. DASH leveraged the design of these cultural icons, incorporating them into the visual system throughout the branding identity design and interiors for the hotel’s renovation.
